The Jewish Ensemble Theatre closed their first season in a new venue with Cabaret. In order to use the space and show to their advantage they sat the audience at cabaret tables around the stage set up in a deep thrust. Environmental lighting was used by pulling every chandelier they had out of storage that was used as the house lighting for this production. I pulled out all the stops by bringing in some I-cue moving mirrors to use as refocus-able specials. I used the light bulb practicals over the doorways in the set to run chase effect during musical numbers. I brought in a pair of gobo rotators and money gobos to use during Money Makes the World Go Round, and just tried to pack as much as I could into the small space.
