Neil Koivu is a freelance lighting designer in the Metro Detroit area
Neil is an Andes Award winner for Come From Away and Little Shop of Horrors at Meadow Brook Theatre, and a Wilde Award nominee for Eric Gutman’s From Broadway to Obscurity with Detroit Public Theatre. His work has been seen at theatres and arts organizations throughout Michigan and beyond.
His experiences include sound designer, scenic designer, and production electrician, giving him a broad understanding of the production process and a collaborative approach to design.
