This classic show was a lot of fun to light. I tried to really keep the essence of Tharon Musser’s original plot while still making the show my own with the use of bold color. I was able to rent some led profiles to really bolster the side light looks. If I had it to do over I would try and rent more led profiles to use for the Mondrian looks so that those colors pop more. For the finale we used a beaded curtain that I lit with some moving lights doing a sky tracker look in lieu of the art deco wall, and we added a downstage portal with chasing golf ball lights.
